Preface
This book is a product of divine inspiration from the Almighty Allah, the creator and the most beneficent. May well be that my inspiration arose from a feeling of disgust and frustration which I had and still have about the way and manner our younger generation play politics in music in general especially in the Fuji music and the entertainment industry as a whole in Nigeria.
The abuse of position, misuse of power, inordinate pursuit of money and start blasphemy other people’s image that are competitors with them in the same field and every citizen of Nigeria with no doubt will testify to the different between the Oganla (Boss) of Fuji compare to his contemporaries. So the belittling and denigrating older generation in the Fuji music industry that arose my anger and sorrow about the future of the country if care is not taken.  There is again the deplorable and flagrant breach of culture and truth that respect is reciprocal which simply means all the artistes in the entertainment industry must be friendly, honesty, loyalty and be of help in projecting one another’s achievements for the betterment of their future in their careers.
The writing of this book has been possible because i received the willing and ready help and generous and enthusiastic supports from my beloved brothers and sisters in my group chat on whatsapp. Without their supports, the success of this book could not have been published for readers and lover of Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Ajibola Pasuma, the Oganla1, Mayweather of music in general. My first word must be one of appreciative thanks to my Creator, followed by my undisputed Godfather, a mentor and a guardian, the person of Alhaji Semiu Afolabi Adeshina, SEME WAP1, who truly showed me the way.
The second word is also of sincere thanks to my wife, Olori  Bashorun Oluwatoyin, the mother of my lovely children; Princess Bashorun Zainab Oluwafeyisayofunmi,  Prince Bashorun Abdulbassit Olatunji and my darling boy; Prince BAashorun  Ara  Olasubomi who always strives to sit up with me whenever I had to work far into the late hours of the nights.
I feel a deep sense of gratitude to Elite  Balogun Oluwatoyin, my powerful NATIONWIDE; PEW, General Secretary who has always been the person to encourage me with the discharge of my duties.   However, with all the assistance and correction and support I have received, this book is fully my work and some were derived from some news source online and I hold myself accountable and responsible for any and imperfection in it because i was able to confirm some facts from all information gathered.

CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
T
he serene traditional town of Oro town, Irepodun Local Government in Kwara State, Southwestern Nigeria, hailed the Odetola family. The year 1967 made the family received a little bundle-gift. It was an occasion for rejoicing but it was just another one like many others before it and many more to come. The gift was a boy child. The name of the child is Abdul Wasiu Alabi Odetola who was born on the 27th November, at Mushin-Lagos.
The arrival of child is celebrated in the belief that it is a bringer of a blessing and each child is on a mission. Nobody was aware that the child will light up his family name to the universe with his rhythms and rhymes. And he is the only child his mother had for the Odetola’s family.
Then after his birth, this child of history would later be known as someone, who the world cannot do without and that he would become a man of sterling qualities. His achievements will remain unprecedented and unmatched. All who ever rose to compare with him would fall short. He would successfully unlock the innate potentials and become a maestro and this was exactly the reason why his mother never objected his decision to be a Fuji musician because she was not actually aware of how the glory of the boy would be celebrated. This is the gift that came in so quietly to his community and to his nation. He would achieve every level that may qualify him to belong to a class of elites; his life would teach lessons to the contrary. His life would teach that truly major index of greatness is not the material comfort enjoyed or in power acquired in one’s lifetime. He would show that greatness would not be measured by the exercise of authority, or determined by the number of wives, children, houses and vehicles a man accumulated. His life would prove that true greatness is engraved in the impact one makes on the society to which one belongs. Only to this enviable list will the name of Wasiu Ajibola Alabi Odetola be added.
Wasiu Alabi Odetola well known to be called Pasuma Wonder has become a part of Africa’s value system for the memory of great achievers to be preserved and transmitted as role models to the people or publics. He has radiated the virtues of hard work, perseverance, dedication, creativity, courage love and tolerance. These qualities help him to maintain his stance in the music line today. His music is not fared as badly.
This musical genre was made popular by Alhaji Dauda Epo-Akara, the deceased who based in Ibadan, was the "awurebe" founder and Ganiyu Kuti, a.k.a. "Gani Irefin".
The Muslim community in Lagos metropolis (Lagos Mainland and Lagos Island) had a sizeable number of “Ajiwere” acts. These early performers drew great inspiration from Yoruba Sakara music style (using the sakara drum but without the violin-like goje instrument, which is normally played with an accompanying fiddle). The long list of notable Isale Eko (lower lagos city) “ajiwere” performers during the early Independence years included Sikiru (Omo Abiba), Ajadi Ganiyu, Ayinde Muniru Mayegun a.k.a. "General Captain," Ajadi Bashiru, Sikiru Onishemo, Kawu Aminu, Jibowu Barrister (under whom Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister performed), Ayinde Fatayi, Kasali Alani, Saka Olayigbade, Ayinla Yekinni, Bashiru Abinuwaye, etc.
Varying styles were beginning to evolve by this time, and it was not unusual for a few to play mouth organs (harmonica) between “Ajiwere” interludes within their compositions. Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister was the lead singer/composer of the popular ajisari group, Jibowu Barrister, under the leadership of Alhaji Jibowu Barrister. Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister and other young “Ajiwere” "rocked" Lagos and its environs.
Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister is the creator of Fuji Music, who died at the age of 62 on Thursday  December 16, 2010 at St. Mary’s hospital in London and was buried in his self-acclaimed Fuji chamber in Isolo, Lagos. He designed Fuji as the variations of Were/Ajisari musical genre. The name, "Fuji," chosen for the new musical genre was conceived in a rather funny and unusual way.
According to late Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister in his life time, said:
"I came up with it when I saw a poster at an airport, advertising the Mount Fuji, which is the highest peak in Japan."
Fuji, in this context, should not be mistaken for the Yoruba word "fuja," or "faaji," which means leisure or enjoyment. "Onifuja" or "Onifaaji" is Yoruba for a socialite, or one who relishes leisure or enjoyment.
Fuji music is an offshoot of Were/Ajisari musical genre. In one of his early LPs, which he used to chide the unreasonable critics who dubbed his creation "a local music."
Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister explained that;
"Fuji music is a combination of music consisting of Sakara, Apala,    Juju, Aro, Afro, and gudugudu, possibly highlife."
Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister did a tremendous job of popularizing his craft by taking it all over the world; he started touring the European continent, especially Britain, since the early 1970s. Also, he first brought his trade to the North America, particularly the United States of America in 1984. All these tours happened before any subsequent Fuji players ever left the shores of Africa.
Between 1970 and throughout the 1980s, other fuji musicians included Fatai Adio, Saura Alhaji, Student Fuji, Rahimi Ayinde (Bokote), Ramoni Akanni, Love Azeez, Waidi Akangbe, Sikiru Olawoyin, Agbada Owo (who prematurely experimented with the guitar), Iyanda Sawaba, Ejire Shadua, Wahabi Ilori, Wasiu Ayinde Barrister (he later changed his name to Wasiu Ayinde Marshall) and also the Ibadan quatro of Suleiman Adigun, Sakaniyau Ejire, Rasheed Ayinde, and Wasiu Ayinla emerged, all introducing their versions of Fuji music.

Fela's old Afrika Shrine club was also located in Idi-Oro, in the courtyard of the Empire Hotel, before it was burned down by the Obasanjo military regime. A new Shrine was later built in neighboring northern suburb of Ikeja.

CHAPTER THREE
MODERNIZATION OF FUJI MUSIC IN NIGERIA
Since the early 1980s, Alhaji Kolynton Ayinla (Baba Alatika or Kebe-n-Kwara) is a name to be reckoned with as far as Fuji music is concerned. Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Barrister before he changed his name to Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde , Marshall gradually emerged (with hits such as "Talazo Fuji", 1984) after tutelage under Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. Marshall had served under Barrister in different roles such as his instrument packer and notably as his road manager. He served under Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister for 15 years. Marshall's style evolved through the early 1990s as he added youthful vigour to it. By the end of the 1990s, his brand of Fuji had become one of the most popular dance genres in the country.
Another artist, Adewale Ayuba, dabbled into Fuji music and took the nation by storm in the early 1990s. He managed to give off a vibe of class, though Fuji music was more popular among Yoruba Muslims, as opposed to Juju music. His brand of Fuji, termed "Bonsue Fuji", was clean, lively, and appealed to young and old alike as it was not hard to accept. Ayuba clearly did an excellent job by staying away from any feud with any other musician. He still performs till date and has many followers. Another artist that emerged in the early 1990s was Abass Akande Obesere (Omo rapala), who brought lewd street slang called "Asakasa" into the Fuji scene. He became popular with the street type and even the educated buy and hide in their cars and rooms to listen to his music.
Generally, the lyrics are in Yoruba. Due to its popularity with young Nigerians, Fuji is now the main hook lines of Nigerian hip-hop music.
Continued growth of  popular modern Fuji musicians in Nigeria include (Sir) Shina Akanni, Alhaji Rasheed Ayinde, Adewale Ayuba, Abass Akande Obesere (PK1);Wasiu Alabi Odetola,(Oganla 1, Pasuma Wonder, Mayweather of Fuji ); Alayeluwa Sulaimon Alao Adekunle Malaika(KSA), King Dr Saheed Osupa, Shefiu Adekunle Alao (Omo Oko), Sule Adio (Atawéwé), Wasiu Ajani, (Mr. Pure Water), kanayo, Taiye Currency, Alhaji Komi Jackson, Tajudeen Alabi (Istijabah), Remi Aluko(Igwe fuji), Muri Alabi Thunder, Karube Aloma, Karubey Shimiu, Adeolu Akanni (Paso Egba), Shamu Nokia, Bola Abimbola, (Quintessential) Sunny Melody, Olusegun Ologo and Segun Michael.
Today, Fuji music has continued to attract younger generations; there are now over 10 Fuji singing kids (such as Shanko Rasheed, Wasiu Container, Konkolo Wally G, Global T, Muri Ikoko etc.,) that are doing well in the industry.
In this generation of singers, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, known as (KWAM1 or K1 De Ultimate), has been the most recognizable name in the genre since the mid - to late 1990s and in the late 1990s the trio of Wasiu Alabi Pasuma (Oganla 1 of Fuji) and others are dominating the scene till present.

The Formative Years

Also, his mother was not in support of it until Jibola told his mother not to worry that, “he would survive it”.
So, his father divorced his mother after the issue was raised and Jibola remained with his dream that no going back to what his father wanted him to study for the future. They moved out into another apartment and started a new life with hardship which his mother became a single parent since then. That was how Jibola wholeheartedly decided and supported his mother, hawking fried fish she was selling and also traded Fan Ice Cream with bicycle to support his mother, he also spent his time as a teen in Ojuwoye Mushin, where he used to push wheel barrow helping traders to convey their goods bought and sold outs.
Thereafter, he moved on with his life as a bus conductor at a time after his school hours till about 8:00 pm plying all the routes from Mushin-Oshodi, Iyana Ipaja-Agege.

He used to be a footballer when he was younger, he played for Abuede at Shogunle alongside Fatai Atere and Jonathan Akpoborire and he was even part of the team that was supposed to go to the first edition of the FIFA CODAC games in 1985. He was invited to the camp, but unfortunately he was dropped.
In 1993, Jibola met with the then Eru Owa, now, Sarolaj Music and Films International situated at 51, Adeyemi Street off. LUTH road, Mushin-Lagos, the person of Olalekan Sarumi, a young dynamic serial entrepreneur, Investor and successful businessman with creative mind who believes every dream can be moved to reality and signed an agreement with him for the success of the First album titled “Recognition”.

CHAPTER FOUR
RISE TO STARDOM

I
n 1994 was the released of the Second album titled “Choices.” And Pasuma was crowned “Akeweje Onifaaji of Mushin,” by the King, OBA FATAI A. AILERU II (J), before the greatest chart buster, “Orobokibo” which was the Third album, Wasiu Alabi Odetola, was given an ultra-supporting nick name, that no one but, he alone since then is popularly known to be called as “PASUMA” which was given to him by one of his music pal called Adeola Omotayo, the C.E.O. “HOUSE OF HEAVY SOUND". The name was derived from a drug called PASUMA STRONG (energiser drink) and why he was chosen to be called that name is because of the way he entertain his audiences on stages with the way he gets people carried away with his dance around on stage play as a powerful man and thought if he adopt that name, it will continue to make him to be more powerful.
Alhaji Wasiu Ajibola Odetola thought of the nick name that was proposed to him severally and finally accepted by using the name in supports of his other names as Wasiu Alabi Pasuma (WAP), hoping it will work as an energiser as he was told but instead, he became a great socialist, entertainer and more influential in the society (Home and Abroad). The released of the song "Orobokibo", brought Pasuma into limelight since 1995. That same year, Jibola added to his name Alhaji Wasiu Ajibola Odetola Pasuma, when he returned from the pilgrim Mecca in 1995, he did a live performance named “Hamburger” that went viral. The album “Orobokibo” earned him several awards including his (First Award) by FMA; “Best Fuji Artiste of The Year” and he claimed to have gotten that slang from one of his band back up vocalists called Shina, not knowing using it will project his fame to the world as an entertainer, socialist and a role model in the music industry today. And finally became a car owner of the one-in-town vehicle for the riches “Benz the Coup”
In 1996, Alhaji Wasiu Ajibola Odetola released the Fourth block buster album “Computer”. He became the first Fuji artiste to collaborate with a hip hop acts when he started featuring on their hit songs which he diversified to collaborate with some hip hop group to sing a track from his album titled “keep on Rocking” with the Remedies while he still remain a Fuji musician.
The Fuji maestro won the “AMEN Awards” consecutively 1996-1998. It was in 1996 that the “Benson and Hedges” also gave him awards for three (3) good years consecutively.
In 1997, Pasuma released the Fifth listening party album titled “The Man.”
Alhaji WAsiu Alabi Ajibola Odetola Pasuma became a successor and as re-incarnates of the late Alh.(Chief) Sikiru Ayinde Barrister who was the Fuji creator during his life time and changed his band name from the “Wasiu Alabi and his fuji Cabaret” to “Pasuma Wonder Band”. The name started changing and eventually stuck with him.
That same year was the creation of PASUMA FANS CLUB. It all started with Alhaji Afolabi Semiu Adeshina popularly known as Godfather, Pasuma’s Boy or Omo Paso. He was an astute and ardent follower of the world’s Fuji maestro, the Maywhether of music in general, Pasuma.  He graduated from the revered Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo; the best higher institution in the North of the hipopo and the south of the Sahara.
Given his penchant for music, he dared the authorities in LASU and founded Wasiu Alabi Pasuma (WAP1) fans club in 1997. It was his shared determination and resoluteness that allowed the club to be in existence because He was persecuted and humiliated to stop dreaming of the club because it was meant for touts and never well to do individuals.
The authorities went to the extent of digging into his credentials, to know the grade he had, but to God be the glory, his grade was above 4.5 points, based on this, the then Student Affairs gave him unflinching support and encouragement, stating that he had a good vision.
It was all he needed to continue his course. After getting the clearance, he did his first show in LASU, in 1999 by bringing the world acclaimed Fuji Meastro, Pasuma to LASU. Pasuma thrilled the students with his Orobokibo hit song and all were asking for more.
Surprisingly, all the acclaimed Ajebos in School came out en-mass to experience the history making show. The applause and commendation that greeted the show in LASU, prompted him to expand the scope beyond LASU.
He later championed the horizon to Federal Poly, Ire, UNILAG, UNIILORIN, LASPOTECH, Olabisi Onabanjo University, then Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, amongst other notable institutions in Nigeria. It should be stated that prior to the advent of WAP1 Fans Club, the only popular club was Legacy Fans Club of K1 the Ultimate. But as we speak, WAP1 Fans Club as taking over all the spaces in the higher institutions. The mother of all shows in LASU, that was organized by Pasuma, gave him the name Pasuma Boy, he was so famous, and to Allah all thanks, he graduated with a 2nd class upper in Economics in the year, 2002. After his graduation, he took the club to Yobe State.
Again, it was received with pomp and pageantry. The Hausas were excited when he also launched it in Federal poly, Damaturu. In the course of the luncheon, he met vibrant and articulate young chaps that have the same dream and vision with him, people like Mr. Adeola Abolaji, Gbenga Olatunde, Kayode Hamza, Kazeem Simple, Waliu Ibraheem, Razak Balogun, Moshood Ibrahim and a host of others. These people were committed and dedicated and formed the Pasuma Fans Club; with the zeal, it was extended to every states and zones in the country.
“Yes, Semiu Afolabi Adeshina, (Pasuma's Boy) is truly a GREAT MAN…”
In 1998, he released the Sixth album “Confidence” for the December tonic which gave him assurance in thoughts to be known throughout the world as a future star throughout the globe (internationally) led to his travel to London.
In the 90’s , Pasuma experienced a lot of hardship in his music career that almost made him left the entertainment industry as a musician to start a new life when thugs and rascals attacked and fought at his show that led to destruction f his instruments and injured his band boys. After a while of his thoughts to be neutralized from music, since he does not have any other means to get all that was damaged  and even means of taking adequate cares of his band boys, a brother “Nene Jamiu” came to encourage him more by getting him another sets of instruments and took good care of his boys admitted at the hospital as a result to the fights, so it was this God sent that made him scaled through his nightmares about music and exposed him more to be a lover of music.
In 1999, he got his First UK tour visa and returned back home with the ideas and styles adopted from his tour to London and dropped his ; Seventh  Album“London Experience” and followed by the number Eight Album titled “London Scope”, both in one year.
In 2000, In December, he dropped the number Nine Album titled “African Puff Daddy”
In 2001, this year happened to be one of Alhaji Wasiu Odetola Pasumas' achievements so far in the films and music industries so far when he gained his admission into the University of Lagos, LASU as a Theatre and Art student when one of the ‘Living Legend Actor’, Sola Foshudo was the Head of the Department.
Pasuma contributed very well and impressed his colleagues not putting in himself pride of a well known star already but he succumbed himself as a student and did all that was necessary and expected of him then at school.
In December, he released the Tenth Album titled “Entertainer”
In 2002, the Eleventh Album was released titled “Americana” followed by the number Twelve Album which was titled “Extravaganzer”. There was a song by different artiste titled "Fuji Gyration 2002" featured; Malaika, Pasuma, Saheed Balogun, Father U-turn(late) & Adex.
Also in 2002, Pasuma did collaboration with Adejoke Bankole (a.k.a. Omo Olope), in the song, she warned those criticising her and fellow gospel artistes for featuring the Fuji act in their albums to desist from doing so or face Gbe wrath of God.
In 2003, to God be the glory, he released the Thirteenth Album titled “Desperado” and after the old style of one record in the CD jacket, he developed the idea of  two-in-one record which he started with the album released as the number  Fourteen Album titled “High level and Joker “
In 2004, Pasuma was released the album titled “Judgement” as the number Fifteen Album, the usual record known to the yearly December Tonic.
In 2005, he released another personifying album that also came out in two-in-one as the Sixteenth Album titled “Unique and Superiority” before the Seventeenth Album titled “Fuji Motion” same here which was regarded as his favourite album so far. It really changed his style of music. This year, Oganla featured in a movie titled "Ishola Oba Orin"
Also in 2006, he released another two-in-one album classified as his Eighteenth Album titled “Maintain and Sustain,” before the Nineteeth Album “Initiator” after he returned from his Europe tour. The rave Fuji act Wasiu Alabi Pasuma planned a very suitable sequel to the album which later made him an award-winning artiste of the year known around the globe has ‘celebrated hit maker’ who to God be the glory succeeded in the released of three (3) interesting albums in a year.
In 2007, he released his Twentieth Album also in two-in-one titled “Importer and Exporter” before the release of his Twenty-one Album as the annual record programmed for December tonic titled “Stability”.
Later in the year, with OJB Jezreel, his hip hop producer; Pasuma worked collectively with him on his redefined Fuji music Album titled “In and Out” classified to be his number Twenty-two Album in his music productions so far. Pasuma explained the concept of the title “In and Out” says “In” is for his fans in Nigeria and “Out” for his fans abroad.
Pasuma did collaboration with a hip hop singer, Olu Maintain in his song title "Aroma" which was a block buster throughout the world. In that same album, Olu Maintain launched Pasuma, a full-fledged Fuji artiste on his track “Fantasy”.
Thence, the marriage between Fuji and Pop culture became official in the music industry. The 40 year old Fuji Maestro continues to blur the lines between street music and urbane culture, in releasing of two (2) albums per annum.
In 2008, towards the end of the year, October 6, which was on Monday, he dropped another double album titled “Brain Box and Stardom” produced by BAYOWA FILMS AND RECORDS INTERNATIONAL, which made his album, Twenty-three.
Since then, everyone regards him as a pacesetter in Fuji music and in the line of hip hop. The followed album titled “Infinity”, marked the Twenty-four albums so far.
In 2009, Pasuma celebrated his 42years birthday with 25 years on stage anniversary as a musician at Water Park, Lagos.
And also released the Twenty-five album titled “Role Model”, followed by subsequent Twenty-six titled “feel it” as December Tonic.
In 2010, Pasuma was involved in a programme  organized by the City People Entertainment called Celebrity Takes II, and almost won the top prize which no other Fuji musician has done in Nigeria.
He got that deal from a friend called Faith Eboyingbe. She lived very close to him then who invited Pasuma to be part of the contest. The lady told him it was a dancing competition, and made him signed the document to his involvement in the programme.
To God be the glory, Pasuma was trained for the show effectively and adequately by a lady. He was presented to be the last man standing when he received a call from his manager Femi Davies, who told him about the interest of a telecommunication brand Glo, in making Pasuma, one of the brand ambassadors.
The contract was between (2010-2013) with Glo, which no Fuji artiste has done in Nigeria as at then. And he was well paid for the job as Glo Ambassador.
Another deal came also in 2010, when he was consulted by a popular Gin brand called “Regal Dry Gin” and signed him in another deal for 3 years. During that time, of "Season Two of Regal Gin Slam", he performed at the company’s staged shows across the country like on Saturday September 11, 2010, when the show kicked off; the leading Fuji Star, entertained the gin‘s consumers across key towns within the South-west region.
The first show was held at the Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta on September 11 while the second held at Confluence Beach Hotel, Lokoja, Kogi State on October 8.
The next show held at the Afrika Shrine, Agidingbi, Lagos on October 23. The train later moved to Oyo and Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State. The Twenty-seven Album was released and titled “Ability” before the Twenty-eight album titled “Yankee Party Time”. Finally in December as usual, he dropped the December Tonic titled “Sure Pass" which was the Twenty-nine Album produced so far.
This same year, a renounced club of WAP1 fans club called “Pasuma Fans Club” established in 1997, was launched at the White House, Ikeja-Lagos.
As we speak, Pasuma Fans Club is the most seen, visible and entertaining club in Nigeria, with over 10 million fans across the globe. The club has been registered under Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C) with RC. N0. 45091 with the support of Fuji Icon, Pasuma. He has redefined and rejuvenated Fuji Music, no wonder, anywhere you go in Nigeria, it is always Pasuma. His mission is to take this generation to the next level.
Pasuma Wonder began to appear on countless collaborations and also continues in his quest to take Fuji music to a hitherto.
The 43 year old act won more converts to the genre than any other in his class, and despite cultivating a new league of fans; he retains a firm hold on the streets.
In 2011, his Thirtieth Album titled “Influential” came out and got the public another listening party music in the country and abroad.
In the Fuji genre, Oganla1, the Fuji Maestro has performed duet with stars like Alao Malaika, Shefiu Alao, Kayode Sadeeq (Islamic Singer), Omoolope (Gospel Singer), Wale Tekoma, Shanko Rashidi, Murhi Thunder, Safejo Amama, the late Fada U turn, Saidi Balogun (Actor) and others. After, he escaped death on Wednesday, 4th January 2011 as he was unable to sleep well that night. The whole occupants of his house were scared as they didn’t know what will happen next. The next day, Thursday, he was taken to Royan Specialist Hospital by his daughter, Barakat and one of his siblings at Ojodu where he was immediately admitted and put under intensive care.
In 2012, the Thirty-one Album , titled “Purity” when Pasuma acceded the throne as "Otunba Arambanbi of  Fuji and best entertainer of the year world wide" as a result of his proficiency  act in entertainment industry and his ability to released at list one or more than one album annually as an excel proficient Fuji musician worldwide. The song blew the minds of listeners and not only because of the high tempo beat, but because people knew him of his styles of music, and it was rich in lyrics. He featured this year in a movie titled "Irawo Meji"
Pasuma attained the zenith position with the support of his fans that stood by him throughout my career ever since he started in 1993.
On the 27th of November, 2012, Pasuma celebrated his 45th birthday at Zen Restaurant, GRA, Ikeja with his family and friends.
On January 2, 2013, Wasiu Alabi , Fuji music Superstar, Alabi Pasuma went to Ibadan town to be the guest on a programme on Oluyole  FM, a popular radio station in Ibadan and that was where each Okada rider was trying to recklessly out run the others.
Pasuma, a Regal Dry Gin brand ambassador and former Glo Ambassador announced to the motor-cyclists that the first 30 Okada riders to get to the radio station premises will get a helmet each, which hundreds of the commercial motorcyclists had in no time besieged the premises of the radio stations, and no one can say exactly if the helmets were the enticement or the need to see Pasuma whom himself and other Fuji musicians some sort of demi-god among transporters.
Pasuma who we reliably gathered managed to give out 30 helmets that day used, the opportunity to talk about his life, rivalry in the Fuji music industry and most importantly, his controversial new title "Oganla of Fuji" which his contemporaries were criticizing on.
On Monday, 27th of May, 2013, Pasuma dropped his Thirty-two Album titled “Gratitude” a tragic incident occurred to Pasuma. He was attacked by armed robbers that made away with his ‘metalic coloured 2009 Range Rover SUV’ at Meiran a suburb of Lagos, where about nine (9) armed robbers robbed him and a friend, while on their way to an engagement. In the aftermath of the robbery, he was disposed of his Range Rover SUV and other valuables, after been driven around for three (3) hours before he & his friend were then thrown out of the SUV unhurt. The SUV with the registration MU 830 AP was replaced with a ‘Navy Blue, 2010’ version of the automobile.
This same year, was when Wasiu Alabi Pasuma who was popularly known to be called Arabambi II refused to use the name again, rather chose to be called Oganla (Boss), because he has been seeing himself as a great Icon in both films and music industries especially in the Fuji line. The newly adopted name projected his fame to the whole world and he continues to be a successful man in whatever he does with the name, just as when he got “Pasuma” attached to his name then in 1997.
Every Nigerian in both home and abroad started listening to whatever aspect of music he releases at shows and in his yearly dropped albums. Yoruba people will say; "t’omo de ba to l’oko, o ma l’oko". But, Pasuma never denied his mentor s’ loyalty and honesty, Alhaji King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, just that the time to be at the top has arrived. But he thought is not when he is getting old that he will seek for his own liberty as an Independent  Fuji musician, already at the his  46 years in age.

He quoted;
"Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde himself was Wasiu Ayinde Barrister and when the time came, he decided not to use Barrister again and he changed to Wasiu Ayinde Marshall".
That does not imply he and Barrister was fighting.
Oganla (Boss), did that for the purpose of his job, his future, his family, people and his fans, most especially because without them, there will be nobody called "Pasuma".  Some people do not understand or see it this way or thoughts that it could be what Pasuma wanted, they started to say unpleasant things about his actions among themselves in the society. But, Pasuma did not relent; instead, he continued his job profession as a musician known as “Oganla1 (Head-Boss)” and proved the public that were against the idea wrong of their thoughts. He wanted those who don’t understand him to know then that he did that because it was what he felt will be good for him.
On Sunday, 20th of October, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma Wonder held his ‘20 Years Celebration’ in Fuji music genre as a recording artiste. The event was been organized by his management company AO21 Media held at Anchor Event Centre, Agidingbi, Ikeja Lagos. Therefore, Oganla1, Mayweather of Fuji did another unbeatable, one of his kinds, in the entertainment industry carried out his best during the 2015 election processes in Lagos to support Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for his victory as the Lagos State Governor. The Fuji star, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma joined the league of showbiz stars supporting Ambode with the release of a brand new song titled "Paso For Akinwunmi Ambode".
The Fuji Maestro, Pasuma, the Oganla has been working tremendously in the music industry giving his supports to make hip hop songs more audible with his lovely and husky-voice.  Some popular artistes making waves today were still in primary or in the kindergartens then.  As he did collaboration with a sexy U.S returnee pop singer, Eniola who was formerly called “EnnyHollar” song remix “Alo” produced by Puffy Tee.
